Campfire Apple Rum Baked Brie Strudel

This recipe is crazy easy and will make you look like a super star headed to the Food Network. On a chilly day this warm appetizer hits the spot. Bake and serve in a cast iron skillet for bonus style points.

Campfire Apple Strudel Baked Brie

Ingredients:
•1 sheet puff pastry
•1 wheel brie
•sliced almonds
•4-8 TB Campfire Apple Rum Deliciouness

Garnish:
Campfire Apple Rum Deliciousness

The trickiest part of this recipe is remembering to take that frozen puff pastry out of the freezer and let it thaw for about 15-20min before you get started. Also pull your brie out of the fridge and let that warm up too. While you are patiently waiting, turn your oven on to 350 to preheat while you are waiting for the goods to warm up.

Once the pastry is ready to roll..unroll it actually...put 2-4 tablespoons of Campfire Apple Rum Deliciousness on the pastry. Place the brie on top of this sweet spot.  Put 2-4 more tablespoons of the Campfire Apple Rum Deliciousness on top of the brie. Now you are going to wrap that cheese up with a cozy blanket. Just fold, fold, fold. You could also bring up the sides to the middle and then twist so it looks like a pouch. However you do it, do it with love because nobody wants to eat frustration. Now, make it fancy by adding some almond slices, then cut small ventilation slits into the pastry to control the puff factor.

Lightly grease your pan with a touch of butter or oil and then place your Strudel packet into the pan and bake in the preheated 350 degree oven for about 20min or until the puff pastry is browned. If you want more apple delight..garnish with a bit more Deliciousness on top.

There it is. A beautiful little Campfire Apple Brie Strudel ready to eat.  Serve with crackers, apple slices, or toast bits.
